REFRESHER TRAINING

This training course builds on the core knowledge and skills gained in the Orbital Spaceflight Participant Training Course, a required prerequisite for this course.

An authentic spaceflight training experience

In addition to specific academic training for space, you will train and fly in the FAA-approved, STS-400 High Performance Human Centrifuge. The STS-400 with it’s very rapid acceleration and deceleration rates, has the ability to simulate any phase of spaceflight with accurate acceleration vectors, vibrations and WFOV visual displays.

Replicate different types of vehicle launches

The STS-400 can replicate different types of vehicle launches, specifically a horizontal launch to orbital from a runway take off, or a drop launch from a mother ship. The STS-400 is the only multi-axis powered, human-rated centrifuge available for spaceflight training to the public.
